Alice smiled softly as she heard about his trip down here. "I guess there's a downside to everything..." She looked at the endless books that covered the walls around the cave, and suddenly was curious. "What are those books about?" She wasn't all that much into books, but sometimes a certain story could keep her glued to the pages.

Azazel looked around. "Just about everything you could think of. I have read almost all of them..." It was amazing how fast he could read a book. He had only been on earth for about a month, and had read well over a thousand books. It was a way to pass time.

Alice couldn't believe what she was hearing. She was the one to always be out and about, the one to cause trouble. She could never read so many books in such a small cave. "Don't you ever go out and have some fun?" She blurted out, and several seconds later she covered her mouth with two hands, hoping she didn't say anything too bad.

Khaz chuckled and crammed his hands into his jacket pockets. "Azazel have fun? That would mean mingling with people. And he doesn't do that..." the shifter turned to the angel. "Why is that anyways?" Azazel just looked down at the ground. "I don't want to say." He turned around and went back to the table, and shut the book he was reading. He picked it up and carried it over the the self with a hole. He easly slid the book in. He kept his hand up on the book and looked down at the ground.

Alice realized she must have hit a soft spot. Why did she have to open her big mouth? Why don't you give it a try..." She suggested, glancing at Khaz for a quick second. He seemed to be the only one enjoying this. Her eyes were glued to Azazel as she watched him pick up the book that he was reading and watched him slowly slip it into the open slot where the book rested. "It's fun..."

Azazel shook his head. As he did so, the white tips of his wings turned black. They were like mood rings. His now solid black wings seemed to lower and slump on his back. "I don't feel like it..." His head dropped dow and he looked over at them. The puzzle pieces were beginning to fit together for Khaz though. He opened his mouth to say something, but quickly shut it back and glanced over at Alice.

Alice watched the tip of his wings change color. A slight frown rested on her lips as she gazed at him. "I think we should go Khaz..." She turned to face the exit, and covered her face with her hands. This whole thing seemed like her fault. She had a big mouth and it always had to get her in trouble. "Sorry to bother you..." With a heavy sigh she took a couple steps forward, her face still covered, and she kept walking until she felt what seemed like the edge.

Azazel just turned arund, and sat back down in his chair. Khaz let out a sigh and went after Alice. He placed a hand on her shoulder. "Alice, stay here. Azazel is a big glum person, dont let him dampen your spirits." Azazel pulled this ruite just about everyday. He had his sad moments, but after awhile, Khaz would get him laughing and he would change black blue winged again.

Alice looked up at Khaz and smiled brightly. "You're lucky I don't have my wings because I would just fly away." She teased, but slowly the happiness began fading, and she sat down on the edge, staring out at the blue sky. "I'm allergic to deppressing people..." Her head soon rested in her hands that were propped up on her knees.

Khaz sighed. "Well, your not going to go anyways only you are planning of jumping off a cliff." A smirk curved his lips. He went over and sat down beside her. "Azazel will probably just sit over there and sulk. Eventually he will forget about what he was even thinking about. He has the attention spand of a goldfish." His hands dropped into his lap and he looked at her.

Her feet kicked back and forth over the edge, and her shoes were so loose that one fell off. A loud sigh came from the girl, and she stood up to look over the edge. "How far of a drop is this?" She asked, wanting to get her shoe back before something ran off with it. It sounded fun to her, it gave her something to do. Alice just hoped no one would stop her from jumping, not like it would really hurt...

He watched her shoes fall. "Around a thousand feet, maybe more... I was always bad at guessing mearements.." He stared over the edge. You couldn't even see the gound, a mist blocked the view. He couldn't even remember what was down there. He looked up and over at Alice. 'Don't jump...' His mind spoke.

Alice nodded her head, her face was blank. She was committed to getting her shoe back. After letting out a dreep breath she got into diving position. It felt weird to be in that position when you're jumping off a cliff, especially with no water at the bottom. "Stupid shoe..." She muttered, and when she looked at Khaz she grinned widely. After taking a coulple deep breaths she mustered the strength to jump off, and in a matter of seconds she was diving off the cliff.

He watched her get into a diving potition and he narrowed his eyes. A sigh came from him when she jumped off. He slowly stood up, and jumped off the cliff. Two large black bat wings grew from his back as he fell. He flapped them a couple times, catching up with Alice. He flew up to her, and grabbed her sides. As he neared the ground, he pulled up, and gently placed her on her feet. He soon followed after, and looked around before glaring at her.

"Why did you do that? I was getting my shoe." Alice knew something like that was going to happen. She didn't exactly understand it, but she knew it would happen sooner or later. Soon her fingers were running throught her black hair as if they were running through water. Her blue eyes looked around for a shoe that would be sitting there, but all she didn't exactly find what she was looking for.
